He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. William A. Wagner, Sr. and Marie Alma Wagner; his sister Marie Alice Goodfellow; and his stepdaughter Teri Hensley. He is survived by: his wife Natalie "Ruthie" Wagner; and his children, William A. Wagner III (Cindy), Catherine Bass (LaVan), Karl Wagner (Rachel) and Hans Wagner (Allison). He is also survived by grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
