Ouida Hymel Humphreys Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ouida Hymel Humphreys (New Roads, Louisiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 5, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lovincie Hymel and Carrie Brooks Hymel; her husband Hubert Leslie Humphreys; and her brother Cecil Roy Hymel. She is survived by: her children, Lillian Humphreys Achord, Hubert Leonard Humphreys (Joyce), Leland Vance Humphreys (Kristi), Lisa Humphreys Leonards (Lane) and Laverne Douglas Humphreys (Allison); her grandchildren, Cecil Courtney Achord, Corey Christian Achord, Carrie Lee Humphreys, Casey McReynolds, Lindsey Bizette, Ross Daigrepont, Molly Moody and Bailey Humphreys; and her sisters, Anna Joyce Hymel Debetaz and Margaret Ann Hymel West.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Stephens Episcopal Church in memory of Ouida Humphreys.
