It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doloris Ann Newell of Oak Grove, Louisiana, who passed away on December 18, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Doloris shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Doloris farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband C. A. "Bub" Newell; her son Jimmy Dale Newell; her parents, Dalton Curry and Jessie Curry; her grandson Shane Harris; and her great grandchild Raigyn Calhoun.
She is survived by: her sons, Carlton Newell (Cheryl) of Stephenville, Texas and Eddie Newell (Sharon) of Oak Grove, Louisiana; her daughter-in-law Charlotte Newell of Oak Grove, Louisiana; and her sisters, Nancy Colquette of Mer Rouge, Louisiana, Mamie Lee Fuller of Ruston, Louisiana and Mary Jean Ashley of Rayville, Louisiana.
