Ruby Marie Hylender Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 12, 2025, at the age of 97, Ruby Marie Hylender of Oak Grove, Louisiana passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruby Marie Hylender to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Norman and Martha Columbia (Lummie); her husbands, Robert Lee Underwood and Willie Lee Hylender; and her siblings, Earl, Willie, Hubert, Roy, Clayton Calhoun, Tressie Gunter, Gladys, Dorothy Harper and Edna Jarnevic.
She is survived by: her children, Jack Underwood (Martha) of Mize, MS, Lola Gray (Michael) of Gulfport, MS, Martha Orndorf of Magee, MS, Debra McClain of Dillsburg, PA and Mickey Underwood (Michelle) of Carlisle, PA.; and her sister Stella Miley (Dolly) of Baton Rouge, LA. She is also survived by 12 grand-children, 14 great-grand children and a loving host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cox Funeral Homes - Oak Grove Chapel (200 E Noble St, Oak Grove, LA 71263). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
