He is survived by : his wife Jackie Elaine Yates (Van Meter) of Oak Grove, Louisiana; his daughter Teresa; his son-in-law Greg Crook of Lumberton, Texas; his son Wayne Homer "Buck" Yates, Jr. of Logansport, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Ethan Crook, Nicole Crook, Alyssa Cartinez and Destiny Yates; his great grandchildren, Evelyn Crook, Khloe Patrick and Caden Patrick; and his brother Freddie Carroll Yates. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
