He was predeceased by: his parents, Pat McBroom and Minnie Miles McBroom; and his siblings, Osero McBroom, Cisero McBroom, Haskel McBroom, R. P. McBroom, Juanita Griffin, Frances McBride and Alice Moreau.
He is survived by: his wife Johnnie Cathey McBroom; his children, Cyndi Hodges (Darrel) of Monroe and Ronny McBroom (Rhonda) of Georgetown, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Kaitlin Spurgeon (Jonathan), Mikhael Valadas (Kendra) and Izac Lee (Chloe); his great grandchildren, Catherine, Sophia Spurgeon, Porter, Kason and Kash Valadas; and his sister Lou Gwin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Baptist Children's Home or to Faith Baptist Church in Tioga.
