She was predeceased by: her parents, Hardie W. Pierce and MaeBell Pierce of Varnado; her son Harvey Wayne O'Quin of Baton Rouge; and her sisters, Dorothy Guice of Hineston and Jackie Speights of Alexandria.

She is survived by: her children, Shirley Bruce of Cypress, Barbara Ritchie (Ed) of Glendale, Arizona, James Wiley O'Quin of Isabel and Brenda O'Quin of Glenmora; and her daughter-in-law Gwen O'Quin of Baton Rouge. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home - Oakdale (113 S 11th St, Oakdale, LA 71463). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
