He was predeceased by: his son James Fontenot; his parents, Homer Davis and Ruth Davis; his grandmother Amy Davis; and his siblings, Lonnie Davis, Romeo Hargrove III, Renaldo Davis, Henry Davis, Judy Davis and Betty Holmes.

He is survived by: his wife Lena Fontenot Davis of Oakdale; his children, Wilson DeRon Stevens of Sulphur, Dominique Xavier Robinson (Whitney) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Ronnesha Neemera Davis of Midland and Kurah Davis of Oakdale; and his siblings, Donald Maddox (Bessie) of Ohio, Wayne Maddox (Kay) of Dallas, Kenneth Martin of Los Angeles, Terry Davis of Oakdale, Anthony Davis of Oakdale, Reginald Davis of Oakdale, Brenda Turnley (Curtis) of Oakdale, Patricia Hargrove of Lake Charles, Wilma Hargrove of Oakdale, Ammie Davis of Oakdale and Angela Green (Scottie) of Clinton, Maryland. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
