She was predeceased by: her parents, Ladlis Pitre and Sally Pitre; and her grandson Ümit Joseph Sonsuz. She is survived by: her daughter Kodie Cherié Fontenot; her granddaughter Suna Sophia "Sophie" Sonsuz; her siblings, Joseph Wayne "Joe Pete" Pitre (Jennifer) and Bonita Pitre; her aunt Jenny Cooley (A. J.); her son-in-law Cemal Sonsuz; and her godchildren, Chiara Nicole Vidrine, Donny Manuel and Jolié Pitre.
