It is with sadness that the passing of Shirlane Duke West of Olla, Louisiana is shared. Shirlane, born on September 16, 1946, passed away on September 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, D. C. "Red" Duke and Carmel Cruse-Duke; her husband Bobby R. West; her son Thomas "Tommy" Swaggart; her brothers, Glen and Dale Duke; and her niece Sherry.
She is survived by: her daughter Stacie Swaggart Retzlaff; her son-in-law Jonathan Retzlaff; and her grandsons, Alexander and Nicolas Retzlaff. She is also survived by seven stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mulhearn Funeral Home - Monroe (2308 Sterlington Rd, Monroe, LA 71203). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home (2308 Sterlington Rd, Monroe, LA 71203).
