She was predeceased by: her parents, Amada Heredia and Antonio Romero; her husband Jose Luis Rodriguez; and her grandson Luiz Diaz, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Miguel A. Batista (Yolanda), Rolando Batista and Ines Maldonado (Jose); her siblings, Jose A. Romero (Delia), Jeremiah Maldonado (Juanita), Nereida Nazario (Jose), Nelin Romero (Ramon) and Yolanda Maldonado (Jose); her grandchildren, Eunice, Jessica, Erica, Bianca, Nicholas, Yuse, Allan, Michael, Sofia, Jazmine and Angelo; her great grandchildren, Antonio, Armani, Andre, Yesslyn, Yesiel, Yesiah, Anival, Yandel and Elijah; and her nieces, Maria Nazario and Sicily Santiago. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Williams Funeral Home (817 E South St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
