He was predeceased by: his son Charles "Lil Charlie" Vernon Brown, Jr.; his parents, Joseph Curtis Brown Sr. and Mary Geraldine "Gerry" Richard Brown; his brothers, Terry Brown, Tony Brown and Donald Brown; and his sister-in-law Joyce Ducote.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tammy Brown Wimberley (Robbie) of Church Point and Lisa Brown Marks (Ben) of Arnaudville; his grandchildren, Gavin Brown, Chloe Marks, Colton Marks, Ashlyn Marks, Lexi Wimberley Crowder, Jacques Wimberley and Ana Brooke Wimberley; his great grandchildren, John Wes Crowder, Evelynn Crowder and Lawson Crowder; and his siblings, Gary Brown, Curt Brown (Bonita), Glenn Brown (Karen), Kenny Brown (Andrea), Judy Brown, Louise Brown, Carolyn Brown Daigle (Grady), Diane Brown Lalonde (Leroy), Jackie Brown Thibodeaux (Kenneth) and Mary Brown Tomlinson (Allen). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.
