He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia "Patty" Lindsey; his parents, J. A. Lindsey and Frankie Barrington; and his stepfather Malcolm Barrington. He is survived by: his children, Daniel Lindsey, Mary Arledge and Molly Thibodeaux (Kevin); his siblings, Clifford Barrington and Delaris Noble; his grandchildren, Juliet Arledge, Lindsey Thibodeaux, Tyler Thibodeaux and Wesley Thibodeaux; and his great grandchild Ophelia Hernandez.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Skip Montet Chapel at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas (2845 S Union St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A rosary was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 6:30 PM to 6:45 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church (207 Camille St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery (4833 LA-182, Opelousas, LA 70570).
