He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Thomas and Elvisa Valary Thomas; and his siblings, James, Jonathan, John Thomas, Leatha Mae King and Betty Washington.
He is survived by: his wife Octavia Marie Tezeno Thomas of Opelousas, LA; and his children, Edward Thomas, Jr. (Kimarka) of Opelousas, LA, Wanda Gail Guilbeaux (Robert) of Opelousas, LA and Albertha Casimere (Corey) of Hockley, TX. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
