He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon Wells Cornette, Sr. and Lockie Sue Tucker Cornette; and his grandson Peyton J. Cornette. He is survived by: his wife Linda Diesi Cornette; his grandchildren, Carter M. Cornette, Averi M. Cornette, Mike Cornette, Matt Cornette and Maxx Cornette; and his sister Ann R. Cornette of Russellville. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Skip Montet Chapel at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas (2845 S Union St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the same location. A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas (2845 S Union St, Opelousas, LA 70570).
