She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Ronald Brown; her parents, Lloyd Cook and Elvera Everette Cook; and her siblings, Lloyd Cook, Melvin Cook, Gloria Cook, Charles Cook, Ronald Cook, Lawrence Cook and Beverly Cook.

She is survived by: her sons, Louis Calep, III (Hallett) of New Orleans, LA and Lloyd Calep of Opelousas, LA; and her siblings, Leroy Cook (Gwendolyn) of New Orleans, LA and Delores Morrison of Tucson, AZ. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
