Though Gloria Rene may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gloria Rene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her cousin Lee Anna Harper; and her uncle Alan Jones. She is survived by: her sisters, Delores B. Thomas of Opelousas, LA and Mary A. Rideau of Opelousas, LA; her aunt Victoria Green of Shreveport, LA; her niece Ashley Ann (Renee Thomas); and her nephew Darriel Rideau of Opelousas, LA. She is also survived by extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Williams Funeral Home (817 E South St, Opelousas, LA 70570).
