He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle E. Smith, Sr. and Ruth Alton Roark; his brother Lyle; and his brother-in-law Floyd Fletcher. He is survived by: his wife Annie Bell of Melville; his brother Jerry Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Ruby LeBlanc, George Fletcher (Linda) and John Fletcher. He is also survived by nieces and one nephew.
