She is survived by: her husband Arthur Edwards, Jr. of Ville Platte, LA; her son David Charles, Jr.; her children-in-law, Darcus Ruffin of Lafayette, LA and Lisa Freeman of Ville Platte, LA; and her children, Joshua Charles (Amanda) of Ville Platte, LA and Abigail Charles of Ville Platte, LA. She is also survived by grandchildren; three precious great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 8:00 AM at the Opelousas Greater First Apostolic Church (1214 E Laurent St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
