She was predeceased by: her husband Samuel Hanchett, Sr.; her parents, Vallery Thierry, Sr. and Odelia Frank Thierry; and her siblings, Walter Thierry, Sr., Samuel Thierry, Vallery Thierry, Jr. (Margaret), Learon Thierry, Sr., Leroy Thierry, Juanita Thierry Simon, Elma Thierry Valmont, Sedonia Thierry and Thelma Thierry.
She is survived by: her son Samuel Hanchett, Jr. (Donyale) of Plaisance, LA; her granddaughter Samantha J. Hanchett of Baton Rouge, LA; her great grandchildren, Da'Shon Tumblin of Baton Rouge, LA and Jay'Ceion Tumblin of Baton Rouge, LA; and her niece Tamiko Johnson (Charles) of Opelousas, LA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
