She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Thompson and Bernadette Reed Thompson; her son Charles Thompson; her sisters, Lillian Sonnier and Everla Zachary; her son-in-law Robin Jackson; and her grandchildren, Carl Sonnier, Jasmine Sonnier and Jermaine Sonnier.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bernadette Toussaint (Gerald) of Opelousas, LA and Carla Jackson of Baton Rouge, LA; her siblings, Joseph Thompson (Mary) of Leonville, LA, Hallien Thompson (Aggie) of Leonville, LA, Velma Thompson of Texas City, TX, Vivian Major of Opelousas, LA and Catherine Thompson of Leonville, LA; and her close friend James Brumfield.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Morning Star Baptist Church (519 W 3rd St, Crowley, LA 70526).
