Marilyn Trahan Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 16, 2025, at the age of 73, Marilyn Trahan of Opelousas, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Wilson Trahan, Jr.; her parents, Albert Lavergne and Sedonia Lavergne; her son Rex Norris, Jr.; and her sisters, Shirley Beard, Mary Ollie Pourciau, Mary Alice Bihm, Suzanne Guilbeau and Sybil Schexnayder.
She is survived by: her daughter Norma Trahan; her sister Ruby Barron of New Mexico; her grandchildren, Mindy Nicole Fontenot (Mike) of Port Barre, Mary Delores Norris of Lake Charles, Blake Courville (Emylee Boudreaux) of Abbeville, Amber Arnaud of Arnaudville and Brianna Courville (Travis Guilbeau) of Youngsville; and her great grandchildren, Makenzi, Tylen and Ezra.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM and from 3:00 PM to 11:45 PM at the Sibille Funeral Home (2309 George Dr, Opelousas, LA 70570). A rosary was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Landry Catholic Church (1020 N Main St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A burial was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Myrtle Grove Cemetery E Landry.
