He was predeceased by : his parents, Eddie Leger and Hester Dupre Leger; his wives, Judy Ann Leger and Cynthia Leger; and his siblings, Eddie Leger, Jr., Lawrence Leger, Jane Vidrine, Pearl Deville and Neva Vidrine.

He is survived by : his sons, Martin Leger, Jr. (Carla), Brent Russell Leger (Marcy) and Chris Leger (Donna); his siblings, Lee Roy Leger and Leona Leger (Hester Marie Comeaux); and his grandchildren, Nicholas Leger, Cody Leger, Jamie Leger, Hunter Leger, Taylor Lavergne, Matthew Leger, Catherine Leger, Chaz Leger, Mallory Duplichain, Sarah Moran, Andrew Leger, Christian Leger and Jaylyn Guidroz.

A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sibille Funeral Home (2309 George Dr, Opelousas, LA 70570). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the St. Leo Catholic Cemetery (126 Church Rd, Leonville, LA 70551).
