She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvin Peter Hidalgo, Sr. and Maire Ola Carroll Hidalgo; her brothers, Gene Hidalgo, Bubba Hidalgo, Gary Hidalgo and Tommy Hidalgo; her grandson Brice Boulet; and the father of her children Bryan Soileau.
She is survived by: her children, Richard "Rick" Soileau (Patti) of Pollock, Randall "Randy" Soileau of Carencro, Steve Soileau (Sally) of Alexandria and Laticia Goulas (Johnny) of Breaux Bridge; her siblings, Ludrick Hidalgo (Della) of Denham Springs, Byron Hidalgo (Linda) of Lafayette and Ola Belle "Teeny" Hood (Gordon) of Denham Springs; and her grandchildren, Mallary Soileau (Randy Smith), Samantha McMillan (Mac), Casie Vanderlick, Maggi Robertson (Kenny), Kayleigh Maturin (Justin), Lauren Gaspard (Brandon), Cody Boulet (Stephanie), Lenzie Nguyen (Tinh), Brandon Northcutt (Macie) and Josh Goulas. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas (2845 S Union St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A rosary will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 11:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church (2409 Coteau Rd, New Iberia, LA 70560).
