He is survived by: his children, Wade Lavergne (Meghann) of Opelousas, Coby Lavergne (Taylor) of Opelousas, Jessica Fontenot (Brandon) of Opelousas and Ashley Lavergne of Ville Platte; his grandchildren, Lane Bellard, Tucker Lavergne, Lana Lavergne, Roan Lavergne, Camryn Buller, Halle Lavergne, Andrew Lavergne, Bailyn Roy and Arlie Roy; and his brothers, Dennis Lavergne (Ellie) and Floyd Lavergne, II.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4708 I-49 Frontage Rd, Opelousas, LA 70570). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
