Simmons; and his great grandchild Marley Lemond.

He is survived by: his children, Rubin Simmons, Jr. (Anna) of Opelousas, LA, Mary A. Roberts of Opelousas, LA, Viola "Molly" Chenier of Baton Rouge, LA, Dr. Norma J. Frank (Ulysses) of Zachary, LA, Judy A. Madison of Shreveport, LA and Kathy M. Kennerson of Lafayette, LA; his brother Eddie Simmons (Gertrude) of Opelousas, LA; his stepsons, Derylle Spears (Renita) of Baton Rouge, LA and Dr. Kenneth Spears of Stockton, CA; and his sister-in-law Ida Dossman-Coleman of Baton Rouge, LA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
