She was predeceased by: her parents, Pete Irvin Turnmyre and Thelma Sherill Turnmyre; and her son Jason Botts Spain (James Elder). She is survived by: her grandsons, Tyler Spain of Scottsdale Arizona and Triston Spain of Richland Hills Texas.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Philadelphia Lutheran Church (35 Duke St, Granite Falls, NC 28630). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
