With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Robert (Opelousas, Louisiana), born in Lafayette, Louisiana, who passed away on April 10, 2024 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Robert to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his wife Lois Ledoux; his daughter Jan Richard; his parents, Frank Robert and Wilda Robert; and his siblings, Wilda Wilson, Iris Hernandez, Lucille Chargois, Clara Stagg, Robert, Jr., John Robert, Armand Robert, Benjamin Robert, Samuel Robert and Jeanne Robert.

He is survived by : his children, William "Bobby" Robert, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia, Sheila Robert of Lafayette, Vickie Stevens (Kenny) of Carencro and Kim Chelette (Kenneth) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Rachel Voitier, K. C. Chelette, Erin Stout, Lauren Richard, Adam Richard, Meredith Barrows, Bradi Newman, Brie Parrott and Brantley Lawrence; and his son-in-law Keith Richard (Linda) of Opelousas. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home (2845 S Union St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A rosary was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church (2125 S Union St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A burial was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Bellevue Memorial Park (4833 LA-182, Opelousas, LA 70570).
