He is survived by: his son Derrick Joubert (Monica) of Houston, TX; his sisters, Sandra Smith (David) of Vinton, LA, Norma Stelly (Dale) of Youngsville, LA and Evelyn Harrison (Herbert) of Palmetto, LA; his sister-in-law Brenda Smith of Opelousas, LA; his nieces, Tiffany Washington, Tamica Smith and Faith Smith; his godson Quinton Smith; his grandchildren, Malik Joubert, Zahria Joubert and Keristin Colligan; and his great grandchildren, Emoria, Mahagony, Cohen and Riyah. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
