With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Woodrow Leger (Opelousas, Louisiana), born in Arnaudville, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 28, 2025 at the age of 93. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Leger and Edith Arnaud Leger; his siblings, Herbert Leger, Mildred Richard, Joyce Hebert and Verlie Dodge; and his sons-in-law, Michael Duplechien, Lawrence "Boobie" Noel and Gary Hidalgo.
He is survived by: his wife Wedna Leger; his children, Carol L. Hidalgo, Ellen L. Noel, Charlene L. Duplechien and Stanley Leger (Angie); his stepchildren, Janet Marcantel and Randy Marcantel; and his grandchildren, Jea Fisette Hundley, Blake Hargroder, Ashley N. Melancon, Lainey Hidalgo, Ryan T. Duplechien, Shadd Leger, Colin Hidalgo, Tristan Leger, Korey Duplechien, Sarah Ash, Emily Arnaud, Carlos Lopez and Jace Lopez. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
