He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Butler, Sr. and Cecil Butler; his former wife Lillie N. Butler; his children, Lawrence Butler, Sr. and Mary Alice Sandolph; his siblings, Leroy Butler, Sr., Johnny Butler, William Butler, Henry Butler, Jr., Joseph Butler, Sr., Paul Butler, Lucille Garrette and Wanda Lee; and his goddaughter Cynthia Linton.
He is survived by: his fiancée Elaine Sandolph of Boutte, Louisiana; his daughter Alicia Butler of Patterson, Louisiana; his daughter-in-law Nicole Butler of St. Martinville, Louisiana; his brothers, Floyd Butler (Yolanda) of Baton Rouge and Lloyd Butler, Sr. (Lorenza) of Franklin, Louisiana; his sister-in-law Lillian Butler of Verdunville, Louisiana; and his goddaughter Crystal Smith of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by three grandchildren, five great grandchildren; along with a host of relatives and friends.
