He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Beth Verret; his parents, David Verret and Sedolia DeHart Verret; his sons-in-law, Randy Verret and Greg Cart; and his siblings, Jesse Verret, Wilton Verret, Edith Pitre, Anna Mae Metrejean and Ina Faye Bryant.
He is survived by: his wife Lola Abshire Verret; his children, Debra Verret, Cindy Cart and Raymond J. Verret Jr. (Christine); his grandchildren, Mathew Verret, Jacob Verret (Lauren Rushing), Alyssa Cart (Ronnie Cuvillier), Patrick Cart (Nicki), Mary Lauren Verret and Trent Verret; and his brother Ernest J. Verret Sr.. He is also survived by his six great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Ibert's Mortuary - Patterson (1111 Lia St, Patterson, LA 70392). A rosary was held on Monday, May 26th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church - Patterson (1011 1st St, Patterson, LA 70392). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph Cemetery - Patterson (1011 1st St, Patterson, LA 70392).
