He was predeceased by: his parents, Ulysses Duchan and Rosetta Verrett; his wife Betty Young Duchan; his former wife Rose Dell Duchan; and his stepchildren, Rosa Lee Jeff and Terry Clay.
He is survived by: his daughter Teresita Broussard of Lafayette, Louisiana; his stepchildren, Ina Irvin (Alvin, Sr.) of Patterson, Jo-Lynn Dardar (Jonathan) of Louisiana, Tina Young (Kevin Hamilton) of Houston, Texas, Joseph C. Young, III of Patterson, Willie Louis Jeff, Sr. (Winnie) of Houma and Mark Jeff of Patterson, Louisiana; his former wife Geraldine Broussard; his godparents, Frank and Jackie Price; and his siblings, Deborah Price and Leonard Price. He is also survived by twenty one grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel (715 Sixth St, Morgan City, LA 70380). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (1011 1st St, Patterson, LA 70392).
