He is survived by: his wife Gay Mitchell Nixon; his daughter Chasity Nicole Mitchell; his brothers, Ambrose "June" Nixon, Jr. and Edward Charles Nixon; his siblings-in-law, Marvin Joseph Lewis, Barbara G. Lewis, Lorraine Carter and Greta L. Lewis; his godchildren, Sidney Angelle Hebert and Onya Bierria; and his caregivers, Chasity Mitchell, Carletta Singleton, Judy Delco, Mary Bergeron, Bobby Jones, Odessa Frank and Chris Phillips. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
