He is survived by: his children, Kelvin Vickers of Pine Prairie, Joshua Thigpen of Pine Prairie and Jessica Thigpen Manuel (Jarrette) of Oakdale; his mother Verlie Deshotel of Pine Prairie; and his siblings, Diana McCraw (Paul) of Boyce and Charles Kaylor Deshotel of Ville Platte. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
