He was predeceased by: his parents, Newel Eric Thorne and Annie Mae Munselle Thorne; and his siblings, Nigel, Prentiss, Everett, Florentine, Betty Joye, Oletta and June.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Thorne (Burnaman); the mother of his children Linda Strickland; his children, Kenneth (Jana) of Baytown, Texas, Kevin (Lori) of Pineville, Louisiana, Keith (LaDana) of Copper Canyon, Texas and Kristan Getsy (T. C.) of DeMossville, Kentucky.; his stepsons, Jason Weeg (Lauren) of Ponchatoula and Jarrod Weeg (Melissa) of Pride, Louisiana.; his grandchildren, Erik, Erin (Chase), Evan (Victoria), Matthew (Lori), Kyle (Ragan), Joey, Jakin, Jediah, Jordan Thorne, Thomas and Luke Getsy; his stepgrandchildren, Noah, Lawson, Emery Kate and Brady Weeg; and his great grandchildren, Henry, George, Jack, Avery, Julie, Khole, Adeline and Lillie.
