She was predeceased by: her parents, Jorsey Williams Burgess and Julian L. Burgess; her husband Clifford Dale Hicks; her son Gary; and her grandson Sgt. Glenn Dale Hicks, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Vickie Wheeler of Marietta, Glenn D. Hicks, Sr. of Arlington and Felecia Hicks of Alexandria. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
