He is survived by: his wife Betty Ruth McDonald of Kolin, LA; his children, Bill Smith (Paviena) of Kolin, LA and Kathy Smith Cohen (Dave) of Independence, LA.; his grandchildren, Jason DeSoto, Magan DeSoto Miller, Kelly Cohen, Michael Cohen and Janessa Jones; and his great grandchildren, Autumn, Genevieve, Jude, Ambrielle, Alouria, Julian, Jason Jr. and William.
