He was predeceased by: his parents, Lelton "Dick" Looney and Doris Looney Smith; his wife Clara B. Looney; and his sisters, Mary Evelyn, Betty Lou and Judy.
He is survived by: his children, James Looney (Melissa), Michael Looney (Mary), Charles Looney (Lorenell) and Janet Sears; and his siblings, Wayne Looney (Sandy), John Larry Smith (Susan), Jean (Frank) and Doris Ann (Jamie). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gallagher Funeral Home (3994 Monroe Hwy, Ball, LA 71405). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
