He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Baxley and Essie Lee McKay Baxley; his wife Marylin Smith Baxley; his children, Harlan, Darren and Laura Baxley; his siblings, Wilbur Baxley and Francis Baxley; and his grandson Jacob Michael Baxley.

He is survived by: his children, Byron Baxley (Kim) and Janna Baxley Antilley (David); his brother Willard Baxley; and his grandchildren, Canyon, Cody, Caleb, Reuben, Levy, Justin L. Baxley, Lelia Johns and Joshua Antilley. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
