He was predeceased by : his daughter Cindy Turner Jefferson; and his parents, Jeff David and Billie Middleton Turner. He is survived by : his wife Shirley Newman Turner; his son Frank "Frankie" Turner; his sister Billie Jeff "BJ" Bridges (Wendall); his grandchildren, Leonard Jefferson Jr., Layton Jefferson, Brooke Turner Kerry (Conor), Masen Turner (Alissa) and Skyelan Turner; and his great grandchildren, Luca Jefferson and Eathan Turner.

Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church in Plaquemine.
