She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Poston and Bessie Taylor Poston; and her siblings, Hazel Davis, Jack Hafford, Joe Graves, Louis Poston, Gene Poston Sr. and Clinton Poston.

She is survived by: her children, Bessie "Peanut" Persilver, Thomas "Tommy" Persilver Jr. (Deborah) and Herman Eddie Persilver (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Gaetano Passantino Jr. (Loran), Kristen Passantino-Bellelo (Robert Jr.), Thomas L. Persilver (Angelle), Aaron Persilver (Barbara), Lauren Simon (Trey), Brandon Persilver (Ashlie), Sean Persilver, Justin Persilver and Jamie Arceneaux; and her brother Herman Lee Poston. She is also survived by the parents and siblings.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wilbert Funeral Home (24120 Railroad Ave, Plaquemine, LA 70764). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the same location.
