It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dora Dean Edwards Wardsworth of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, who passed away on June 8, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Emma Dora Jordan Edwards; her husband Arthur Ezery Wardsworth, Sr.; her son Arthur Wardsworth, Jr.; her father Andrew Jackson Edwards, Sr.; and her siblings, Robert, Gloria Edwards, Douglas Cole and Andrew Jackson Edwards, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Patrick Wardsworth, Sr. and Desiree Wardsworth (Lionel); her grandchildren, Patrick, Jr., Arthur, III, Paris, Megan, Isaiah, Garrick, Tyrell, Vaughn and Taylor Paige Wardsworth; her great grandchildren, Alyssa, Hayven, Autumn and Elijah; and her siblings, Michael Rae Edwards (Gloria), Jennifer Snowden (James) and Linda Lawrence. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home and Crematory - Ponchatoula (100 W Magnolia St, Ponchatoula, LA 70454). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Westlawn Memorial Park (1225 Whitney Ave., Terrytown, LA 70056).
