Ruth Duplessis Ourso Obituary

We announce the death of Ruth Duplessis Ourso of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, who passed away on July 6, 2026, at the age of 91. Ruth will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest Lee Ourso; her parents, Alice Decoteau Duplessis and Troy L. Duplessis; and her sisters, Dorothy Duplessis, Joan Duplessis and Ann Prine.

She is survived by: her children, Joan Fuselier (Keith), Audrey Ramirez (Lloyd), Rose Harper, Paul Ourso (Vickie), Donna Pittman (CharlesWayne), Mary Alice Peterson (Jeff), Kathy Ourso (Pam) and Ernest Ourso, Jr. (Jeremy); and her siblings, Troy Duplessis, Jr. (Carol) and Lois Freeman (Willie). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
