He is survived by: his wife Ida Niehaus of Lynn Haven, Florida; his former wife Pat Myers; his daughters, Sophia Niehaus and Lena Lavine (Harry); and his grandchildren, Brandi Clayton (JW), Kristi Butenhoff, Ami Weese, Christina Mahen (Alan), Kellie McBunch, Louis "Rudy" Wagner IV, Hunter Lavine and Parker Lavine.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Simon's memory to the Veterans Administration, in honor of his service and steadfast support of fellow veterans.
