He was predeceased by : his wife Anita Rita Blaney; his son Luther Leon Hunt Jr.; his parents, Tommie Hunt and Luther Lonzo Hunt; and his siblings, Fairy Bell Gonda, Helen Rossi, Mary Grow and James Milner.

He is survived by : his children, Tommy Hunt (Tommie Jo), Steve Hunt and Sue Hunt (Sherry); his daughter-in-law DeEtte Hunt; and his grandchildren, Kevin Hunt (Kelly), Scott Hunt, Missy Latino (Tony) and Cody Hunt (Kim). He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
