He is survived by: his wife Charlene Estis of Port Barre; his children, Nakia Estis (Brandi) of Port Barre, Chance Estis (Kim) of Washington and Mia Lacassin (Gerard) of Port Barre; his mother Glory-Ann Gerard Estis of Port Barre; his grandchildren, Madison Estis, Caroline LeJeune (Aidan), Gabrielle Estis, Connor Fontenot (Taylor), Nicholas Fontenot, Ethan Fontenot (Camryn Pommier-Fiancée), Tristan Estis (Tyler), Taylor Estis, Leighton Lacassin (Brin Laperouse), Emily Lacassin, Reese Lacassin and Camden Lacassin; his great grandchildren, Brixley Lacassin, Oaklynn Lacassin, Beckett LeJeune and Kinsley Anne Siddons; his sisters, Sarah James of Riegelwood, NC, Marcia Emonet (Ronnie) of Opelousas and Dawn Frame (Brett) of Arnaudville; and his sister-in-law Catherine Romero of Washington.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 at 8:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4708 I-49 Frontage Rd, Opelousas, LA 70570). A rosary was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church (417 Saizan Ave, Port Barre, LA 70577).
