She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph N. James and Eunice Carpenter James; and her siblings, R. V. (Leola James), Jay (Mary James), Clovis (Eugene McCrory), Narvis (Jessie Tate) and Jewel (Pete Causey).
She is survived by: her children, Alycea Wickboldt (Steve), Aileen Barbin (Robert), Tim Lass, James Lass (Lesia) and Jan Lass (Jackie); her grandchildren, Beau Wickboldt (Lin), Kimberly Guillot (Casey), Jeff Lass (Savanna), Brittany Sewell (Reyn), Marissa Mainieri (Tommy) and Matthew Lass; and her great grandchildren, Lincoln, Hayes, Drei, Vier, Joey, Brynlee, Quinn, Warren, Jack, Adam, Daniel and Anthony.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ourso Funeral Home (13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, LA 70737). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
