He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Bishop and Annie Greenwell Bishop; his former wife Margaret Shanks Bishop; and his wife Willa Mire Aldridge Bishop. He is survived by: his stepson C. Michael Bishop (Lou Ann Bishop); his stepgrandchildren, Dru Bishop, Jessica Stuart (Christian Stuart), Lynn Perkins (Robert Perkins), Joyce Poche (Thomas Poche), Alicia Poche and Greg Poche (Megan Poche); his son Kenneth Bishop (Katherine Bishop); his grandchild Chase Bishop (Kristin Bishop); his son Ronan; Preston, Laurie Hebert, Terri Bickham (Mark Bickham) and Denise Simoneaux (Kevin Simoneaux). He is also survived by his four children, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (15208 LA-73, Prairieville, LA 70769). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made out to the American Heart Association.
