He was predeceased by: his parents, Gwin A. Stringer and Marie Pierce Stringer; his brother Billy Ray Stringer; his sister-in-law Gloria Ann Duck Stringer; and his nephew Ronald Glen Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Flora Newsom-Stringer; his daughter Melinda Stringer; his nephews, Bill Stringer, Jr. (Melissa), Steve Stringer (Deanna) and Brian Keith Taylor (Michelle); and his niece Cheryl Ann Stringer.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home (228 Allen Ave, Jonesboro, LA 71251). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at the Sikes Cemetery (4792 LA-499, Sikes, LA 71473).
